Mecca and Medina transport improvements and beautification, Saudi Arabia
Carried out an extensive project to upgrade the roads and public areas in and around both cities of Mecca and Medina. Delivered the planning, engineering design and construction phases of the project.

Delivered a Master Plan for the transformation of approximately 5.8 million square metres of the park into a family friendly hub for entertainment and recreation.

Land acquisition, project design, development and implementation of 35 Hectare touristic village development of luxury villas, apartments and associated leisure facilities.
1Las Palmas Power Station, Canary Islands
Union Electrica de Canaries, Las Palmas. Design and supervision of building and civil works of a 33MW power plant built on reclamation, including seawater desalination plant. In co-operation with General Electric Turbine Generators Limited.

Barwa City - Doha, Qatar
Barwa Real Estate is developing a new residential district located around 10km south of Doha. When completed, Barwa City will cover approximately 264 hectares and provide housing and amenities for a population of some 40,000 inhabitants. The project is divided into two phases. SDC was appointed to manage Phase 1, consisting of 128 low rise apartment buildings (4-6 floors), providing 6,000 apartments, including the roads, utility services, parks etc., and the design and construction of Phase 2, which will include a 500 bed hospital, 7 schools and an additional 40 residential buildings, commercial and retails facilities.

Ciragan Palace Hotel – Istanbul, Turkey
Acquired the site lease, assembled an international development consortium and managed the development, design and construction of this landmark project. Now known as Kempinski Ciragan Palace, this project involved restoration of Ciragan Sayari, a treasured 19th century Ottoman Palace, under the direction of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the development of a 303-key luxury hotel property.

King Faisal Specialist Hospital - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Design and supervision of a 240-bed inpatient hospital, providing general, orthopaedic, ophthalmic, cardiothoracic, urinary and neurosurgical facilities and radio and physio-therapy.

Land acquisition, project design and development and implementation of a leading business park adjacent to the scientific community at the CERN nuclear research facility.

Minorca Steel Plant – Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela
Design of civil works and supervision of building and civil works of 830,000 tonnes per year plant. In co-operation with Kobe Steel of Japan.

Planning, design and construction of infrastructure for District B, a 12 million sqm residential area. This area is now home to over 150,000 residents.

Arab Iron and Steel Company. Design and supervision of building and civil works of a plant producing 2 million tonnes per year of pelletised iron ore, including site reclamation. In co-operation with Kobe Steel, Japan.

Hojolata y Lamina S.A., Colima, Mexico. Design of building and civil works of a plant producing 1million tonnes per year of pelletised iron ore in an earthquake- prone area. In co-operation with Lurgi Gesellschaft fur Chemie and Huttenwessen mbH,Germany.
